- THEORY-GYM: let's look at line cliche in Eleanor Rigby
- BEAT-CHALLENGE: We reviewed new pieces and talked about strategies for iteration when working by yourself. Bass and guitar rigs discussed compared with DI
- OFFICE HOURS: We did some production brain storming for a song Alee is working on
- THEORY-GYM: Harmonic breakdown of "Rise" by Herb Alpert- chords, melody, chord qualities, modulation, opening M7 vamp
- EAR-TRAINING-GYM: Ear training on Frequencies in electric distorted guitars
- INSTRUMENT-GYM: Sticking/hand patterns, hand technique, applications to instrument and songwriting.
- OFFICE HOURS: Different options for recording a cover with acoustic guitar and vocals- pros and cons of recording both at once, free tempo, playing to a click, recording both as an initial sketch and doubling both parts
- OFFICE HOURS: Listened to and talked about he mix of David's song. Discussed the difference between compressors and limiters. Discussed the important considerations when mastering one's own music.
- BEAT-CHALLENGE: listened to 4 new song ideas!
