Beat Kitchen in New York City
Beat Kitchen has residents and instructors in the New York area, and right now all of our classes meet live on Discord in small groups. You join from wherever you produce — your apartment, your studio, your fire escape with a laptop and headphones. The skills you build are the skills you keep, because you are learning on your own setup.
We held our first NYC beat making workshop at High Side Workshop in Bushwick in March 2024, and we are planning more in-person events in the area.
What We Are Building
NYC is one of the cities where we plan to grow our in-person presence. The density of creative people here, the studios, the venues — it makes sense for live production workshops, studio sessions, and eventually our Recording Studio Arts course, which runs out of a real facility. We are working on studio partnerships in the area and will have more to share soon.
