Beat Kitchen in Los Angeles

All Beat Kitchen music production classes currently meet live on Discord in small groups. You produce from your own setup — and that is by design, because most of what we teach translates directly to the way you work at home. Our instructors are working artists, the groups are small, and the feedback is real.

We have already hosted two in-person beat making workshops in the LA area at Kali Audio in Burbank, and we are looking to do more.

Why Los Angeles

LA is where we see our Recording Studio Arts course taking shape. Signal flow, microphone technique, acoustics, mixing on real monitors — that kind of audio engineering training needs a proper room. Los Angeles has world-class recording studios and we are building partnerships with facilities in Southern California to make that happen.

We are also looking at Los Angeles for more live beat making workshops and production intensives. If you run a recording studio or creative space in the LA area and want to collaborate with a music production school that does things differently, we want to hear from you.
