In the beginning, you didn’t know what a DAW was. So you picked up Logic or Ableton or maybe GarageBand or BandLab. You figured out what software instruments were and maybe what quantizing did.
You figured out how to set up your mixer, mix down your projects, edit your audio. There were tons of little frustrations. You never saw what you wanted to see when you wanted to see it.
Your playhead was never in the right spot. But you figured that stuff out and then it happened. You realized it’s hard to be an island and collaboration is the name of the game.
Suddenly, you were that Logic user in a studio that runs Pro Tools. Or that Pro Tools user that fell in musical love with a collaborator using Ableton. It’s hard to be a beginner all over again.
Just remember that thinking like a beginner is good for you. You’ll see things in new ways and challenge your own assumptions. Your focus should be the same primary targets we have in our beginning DAW classes.
Navigation, workflow, and where do you find help. So with that in mind, we’re testing out a new elective for people who know one DAW and want to learn another. We’ll call it something catchy like Beat Kitchen Accelerator.
It’ll be a half-length class. We’re not reinventing the wheel. We’re just removing the pain points.
So small groups, taught live like always. 12 hours of teaching total. And because it’s an elective, it’ll just be a $100 registration for members.
If that sounds interesting to you, raise your hand or reach out.
