Hey teachers, when you ask your class any questions, it’s a little bit like saying, “Does everyone understand?” If you don’t hear anything, it doesn’t mean it’s time to move on. Pose that question in the negative. Who here doesn’t get it?
The way you ask the question matters. When you say, “Does everyone understand?” It’s really hard to be one person in the room to raise their hand and say, “Not me.” The equivalent of that happened to me yesterday in my post about Faiz, and I realized that I had an internet full of blank stares. When that happens, it’s important to approach things from a different angle, and that’s what today’s post is about.
So, it’s a little bit about Faiz, but it’s also a little bit about teaching. I hope you enjoy it.
