OFFICE HOURS: We looked at mastering for two songs, one from Alee, one from David. We compared using the Logic Mastering plugin vs setting up a quick mastering chain with the stock logic compressor, pullet eq, and limiter.

OFFICE HOURS: Jared asked for advice for recording vocals. He's diving into more vocal recording and wanted to know how to be more consistent. We talked about ways to calm nerves when recording, and even approaching breath in a more musical way. He's recording his first song as he typically plays guitar and was looking for some tips. Great conversation!
THEORY-GYM: We talked about changing the bass note of a chord to change the quality and overall feel of a moment in a song. wE talked about the balance of changing the harmony vs changing the melody and even just changing the voicing. this was an exercise in understanding how impactful the melody we wrote already was or not. And if we wanted to change the melody bc we preferred the harmony or vice versa.
