I’ve gotten some interesting questions people asking me to clarify what do I mean by an arrangement? And I don’t mean just what choice of instruments. You can have an arrangement with a single instrument.
Like a piano arrangement could be arpeggios versus block chords. It’s the voicings of those chords. It’s the rhythms that you choose.
Is it a finger picking pattern or is it a strum? All of these things are really really big contributors to how your song gets presented. And it impacts everything from the mix down to on sometimes the songwriting level.
