Don’t be intimidated by a compressor, you deal with stuff like this all the time. It’s not that different than the thermostat in your house. If the temperature dips below the threshold, the thermostat sends a signal to the furnace.
The furnace kicks on and it sends heat to the radiator. The radiator heats up and so does the house. Eventually the house heats up too.
The temperature exceeds the threshold, the furnace kicks off and the radiators begin to cool. It’s pretty much the same with a compressor, but instead of a thermostat, you’ve got a threshold. The threshold evaluates the level coming in and if it exceeds it, it turns it down.
The time it takes for the radiator to heat up and cool down, that’s the attack and release time. Want to learn about this stuff in a small meeting where you can ask questions? Join one of our cohorts.
