I think I know a lot about music and I consider myself a pretty decent engineer and producer. I also make a lot of videos and while I’ve learned a lot along the way, I also don’t really know what I’m doing. I think a lot of my students are in the same boat.
Telling a story with pictures is a little bit like music but also not. Framing a shot, lighting, it’s all part of telling a story, camera movement, which is why we’re running our first all-day cinematography workshop.
