Welcome to a ton of new followers and I figured I’d introduce myself. If you’re wondering what’s up, why all the great content, at the risk of being a little salesy, here’s what I’m doing. I’m Nathan and I’m the founder of Beat Kitchen.
I’ve been a producer, a studio owner, and an educator for the last 20 years. I felt like there was a need for a school that taught beat making. That special intersection of music and audio engineering.
I created a curriculum that deals with all these things holistically because for the modern beat maker, I don’t think you can separate music theory from audio engineering anymore than you can separate songwriting from mixing. I’m not suggesting you can’t just study one of these things, but a kitchen is a place you go, you roll up your sleeves, you make a mess, and you come away with something beautiful. And that’s what we teach.
We’ve rarified those ingredients and we give them to you in small classes over Zoom, so you can learn right in front of your own computer. If you’re like me and you want to cut through the noise and focus on the magic of making your own music your way, it doesn’t matter what your jam is. There’s a seat for you at our table.
