I don’t know you, but your room is really bad for mixing, and I can say that because pretty much every room is really bad for mixing. The moment you convert your music from electricity into vibrating air, it’s the wild, wild west. You can treat your room as much as you like, but you’ll hit a point of diminishing returns really quickly.
I can make a top 10 list of things you should do and I will, but the number one thing is massive and you’re not going to like it. The number one thing I can tell you, you’re mixing too loud. Mixing loud may be exciting, but it’s also exciting the air in the room and problems like modes and nodes and reflections, those get really bad, really fast.
Sorry, pick a moderate level where you can hear all the elements of a mix and get used to working there. It is the most impactful thing you can do and it doesn’t cost a thing.
