Listing your gear is just as likely to disqualify you from a gig than to qualify you for one. I see you got that nice Neumann there, but no U67. Fender Roads is cool, but no Wurlitzer.

Finding the right people to work with comes down to the people that are going to want to work with you. Not for what you have, but for who you are and for what. When you’re starting out, you spend a lot of time thinking, “Oh, if I only had this, or if I only had that, it would make me better.” Pretty soon you discover that when you have that thing, you still end up saying it about something else.

Having really great gear in a professional environment doesn’t necessarily make you better. It’s more forgiving. It gives you more options, and it probably makes you faster.

Ironically, I think what makes you better is not having stuff, because it forces you to learn workarounds and make choices. Getting into the arms race of being the best studio in town is kind of a losing proposition. I want to recommend that you stop worrying so much about what you don’t have, and if someone who wants to learn about what they do have, maybe they belong in a Beat Kitchen glass.
