Today we’re going to look at microphone polar patterns. This one has four. In this incredibly unscientific study we’re going to listen to the different polar patterns as we walk around this mic.
Right now, it’s an omni. Cardioid Bipolar, or figure eight. Narrow, or hypercardioid. Now if that wasn’t as obvious to you as you thought it was going to be, it’s important to consider what’s happening in the room. It’s arguably the more important lesson.
