So that’s a major third. That’s a minor third. That’s a major 7.
That’s a minor 7. That’s a major chord with a minor 7. And you should really avoid calling it that.
Because when you say minor 7, every musician on the planet is going to think you mean a minor chord with a minor 7. You want to call this a C7 chord or a dominant chord. And if you absolutely have to talk about the note that shall not be named, let’s call it a flatted 7th.
