I’ve been stomping around all morning and calling myself a moron because I made a big mistake. But the thing is, I’m not a moron. And everybody makes mistakes.
And so in the interest of making the best out of it, while I’m fixing my mistake, I want to point out something to you. Which is that you would never let somebody call someone you cared about a moron. And ostensibly there is only one person in this world that you have control over and that is you.
So I’m telling myself and reminding you, it’s not constructive to call yourself names when you mess up. Fix the problem, make the best of it. You’re not a moron or an idiot.
That kind of thinking only has a way of sinking in and making you less effective at whatever it is you do. Now I gotta go put out some fires. Have a great day.
