Music theory starts with your ear and learning the names for stuff doesn’t really matter if you’re not hearing with specificity I can help you learn the names for things and I would love to but you can train your ear for free by yourself I’ve been giving you about three chordals a week for like a year But you don’t actually need me you can do it in front of your own instrument. You’re not gonna cheat I word this very carefully. The question isn’t how many notes are there.
It’s how many do you hear? It’s not just going to help you identify chords and intervals It’s going to help you hone in on harmonics and musical frequencies in your productions Worry less about what it’s called and worry more about whether you hear it as you develop your ear You’re going to hear with better acuity That’s going to make you a better musician a better engineer and a better producer.
