You should no more put a chord in the middle of a chord sequence because you think it is supposed to be there. Then you should remove a frequency from your mix because it looks like it’s too loud. Your meter is to your sound as music theory is to your song.
It can confirm the things that you suspect are happening, but it shouldn’t be the source of your decision making. That privilege belongs to your ears and to your heart alone.
