If you find yourself turning up your levels when you record and then turning them back down when you’re done, consider changing this setting in Logic Pro. Settings, Audio, General, Independent Monitoring Level for record-enabled channel strips. Now when you record, Logic will remember your preferred fader location and return it to where you left it when you’re done.
Why this isn’t enabled by default, I’ve never understood, but maybe there’s a reason.
