End User License Agreement
BK Harmonic Synthesizer (working title) — Beat Kitchen School Effective March 27, 2026
By purchasing, downloading, or installing this software, you agree to the following terms.
1. License Grant
Beat Kitchen School grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the BK Harmonic Synthesizer plugin on up to three (3) computers that you own or control. This license is personal to you and may not be shared, sublicensed, or transferred to another person.
2. Ownership
The software, including all code, audio algorithms, presets, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Beat Kitchen School. This license does not transfer ownership. You may not decompile, reverse-engineer, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code.
3. Activation and Copy Protection
The software requires online activation and periodic verification. Each license key is tied to a hardware fingerprint. Beat Kitchen School reserves the right to revoke licenses that show evidence of unauthorized sharing or distribution.
4. Residency Licenses
Active Beat Kitchen residents receive a plugin license as part of their membership. Your license remains active for as long as you are a resident. Residency licenses are personal and may not be transferred.
5. Beta and Promotional Licenses
Beta, promotional, and time-limited licenses expire on the date specified at issuance. Beat Kitchen School may extend or convert these licenses at its discretion.
6. Product Name
The product is currently distributed under the working title “BK Harmonic Synthesizer.” Beat Kitchen School reserves the right to rename the product at any time. Your license applies to the renamed product without interruption.
7. Refunds
Refund requests within 14 days of purchase will be honored. Contact nathan@beatkitchen.io. Upon refund, your license is revoked.
8. No Warranty
The software is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. Beat Kitchen School is not liable for any damages arising from the use of this software.
9. Updates
Your license entitles you to free updates within the major version you purchased (e.g., all 1.x updates). Major version upgrades (e.g., 2.0) may require a separate purchase or upgrade fee. Early adopters and beta testers will receive favorable upgrade pricing.
10. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States.
