I want you to imagine that someone gives you a gift. It’s something they made themselves. Something they only spent about five minutes making, but doing something they love to do.
Now, I want you to imagine opening that gift and telling that person it’s not very good, because maybe they didn’t spend very much time on it. I don’t think that’s you. The way I see it, you come into the world, and the only thing you have is time.
And in the end, that was the only thing that was ever really yours. If you spend five minutes today doing something that you love, you’ve given yourself a gift. It doesn’t matter how it came out.
The gift wasn’t the product, it was the time you spent doing it..
