So basically the way our classes work, we try and get you in and out of a DAW class as soon as humanly possible because we want to get to the fun stuff, the interesting stuff. A DAW is a wonderful tool but it’s just a tool to be used to do wonderful things. And the next one I have coming up is on Wednesday but it occurs to me we should do a Reaper group.

We could then merge them together and do effects synthesis mixing all that sort of stuff. So to put you like totally on the spot, why do you like Reaper? Why should they take a Reaper class?

Alright I’m a Reaper fanatic and I love Reaper for myriad of reasons. One, it’s 60 bucks for life. You don’t have to get a subscription, you don’t have to pay for a bunch of ****.

The cool thing about Reaper is low CPU. It won’t crash on its own. Plugins will crash it like any other DAW.

Also it’s super easy to learn. It’s very user friendly and if you’re nerdy and you’re into tech, go ahead. No, no, I’m just raising my hand.

If you’re super nerdy and into tech, you can get like skins for it and you can make Reaper look exactly like logic and have all the same command keys because of so much open source coding that it has in the community. So that’s pretty cool.
