So producers were always talking about sine waves, but what are they? It’s an existential question. Sure, they look like waves.
They sound smooth, but they’re also the building blocks for more complex waveforms. It makes understanding them really useful in environments like this. A sine is just a math term for a simple motion going back and forth.
It would be as if I took the second hand on a clock and tracked how far above and below the 3 and 6 o’clock line it was. Not so scary after all. And sine waves can be used to draw all the waveforms like sawtooth, square, and triangle.
