You had a great session. The drums sounded amazing. Heck, even if they didn’t, stop before you break down those microphones.
Ask the drummer to hit each of those drums. Let the cymbals ring out. Maybe get a kick and a crash together.
Not because you’re gonna swap out the drums or create a sample pack, but because you’re likely to do an edit. And this is your one chance to get those drums in isolation. Create a crash at the end of your song or smooth out an edit somewhere.
So consider it a public service announcement and share it with someone who belongs in a big kitchen class.
